This year my parents took my sisters and each of our families to Breckenridge for a week. We grew up skiing, so it's fun to come together as a family and do something we all love together. My parents started me in ski school at 4 years old, so we told Max that he could try ski school. He spent all last week asking me, literally every day, if he was going to ski school that day....so when the day finally came, it may not surprise you that he had a little meltdown. Here we dropped him off at school for the first day. We are proud of him for trying!

My dad always told us girls growing up that if you wanted to go skiing that you had to carry your own skis. So, we taught Max how to carry his...I just thought it was so cute. Of course, I help him when it gets too hard, but we're trying to teach him along the way.

So, the ski school called us and said that Max "refused to go outside". He told me later that he was scared. So, Greg and I (through wise counsel from my sister and brother in law) decided to take Max on a little skiing of our own to show him just how fun it is. We had fun, and laughed a lot~one of the funny things was when we were waiting to get on the lift, Max said, "Fire in the hole!" We died laughing! Of course he said it loud enough for everyone behind us to hear it too....

Here is Greg catching Max as we let him go down the slope. Becki and I would help him get going then let Greg catch him. Greg is a snowboarder and I could tell that it made him sad that he didn't have skis on and couldn't help out his son more....he is a good daddy! Uncle David skied down the slope with Max between his legs when mommy and aunt Becky got too tired....but we had a great time.

When we got home, Sutton wanted to play with the skis. He started crying so hard when we took the skis away from him...you'll get to go soon buddy~

Makes me want to go ski! I can't wait to get our kids out there. Miss you.
I miss you all! GREAT pics!
So great to see your pics. Now I can keep tabs on you this way instead of the pledge class emails! We loved your card, the boys are so cute and big! Time does fly! We have a family cabin in Red River so if you ever want to make a quick triping skiing call us!
I need to see more pics of those two cute boys!
I love these pics! Gosh I can't believe Sutton is standing and looks like he's walking too. I am probably way behind on this realization, but every time I've seen you guys, one of you is carrying him so it hadn't occurred to me that he's grown up so much. Adorable!
