It was so neat to have our family home for Christmas morning. When the boys woke up, we all opened our presents together...and it was fun watching them enjoy their toys. This year (and probably every year after) we gave the boys 3 things each. Some good friends from church told us that they used the idea of the wise men bringing Jesus three gifts, and they give their girls 3 gifts each. I liked the idea, just because it was just one more way to tie it all back to Jesus, but also to help put a limit on the toys. I thought that in the future, it would be great for our children to know that Christmas doesn't mean we are going to be showered with toys. I'm not trying to be a fun hater...I just want to keep it all in balance, as much as I can. So, Greg and I decided that we'll start that tradition...and this was our first year.
