Big Boy Bed

Well, my "little man" is getting older. He climbed out of his crib a few weeks ago and then this week I came in and found his crib rail had been lowered. My belief is that he tried to get out and it may have "sank" a little because of the excess weight....

Today we went to see Molly and I asked her about the bunk beds (we have the same ones) and how hard they are to take apart. It's a set of bunk beds and you can separate them into twin beds. So, after I heard how easy it was...I thought to myself, "self, you can do this!"

My brilliant idea was to see if Stephanie and I could just separate the beds real quick and move it to Sutton's room. So when she came to pick up the girls, she graciously agreed to my idea....but as you can imagine the bed wouldn't fit between the door. So, we took off the rails thinking that it would fit.....nope, we had to take it completely apart. By that time, we were fully committed to the project! An hour later, we had the bed in his room and set up! Thank you aunt Stephanie for helping!

Tonight we put our little man to bed in his big boy bed. When I rocked him, he pointed to his crib and said "bed". (The crib is still in the room because I have to take it apart to get it out of the room). I told him that he gets a big boy bed now. It's amazing to me that he is old enough to be in a big bed. I went to check on him tonight and he was fine....sound asleep. I threatened and told him if he gets out he will get a spanking. I sure hope he doesn't try....it will break my heart to have to spank him...but I will do it. It reminds me of my mom always saying as she spanked us, "this hurts me more than it hurts you". I never understood that....gosh I do now!

Some cute things about Sutton...today we were playing in the front yard and he came up behind me, lifted my shirt and gave me a zerbert on my back! I died laughing because it caught me off guard.

We were at the museum today and he found the fish tank. I didn't realize that the tank didn't have a top on it and it was at a kids level. Sutton found a stool and I looked over to see him trying to spit in the tank! He kept saying "fish, fish!"

Today was a good day.....

Way to go Sutton...if you read my story on my blog, we are having a hard time with Carter! He is a little young and really not ready, but we need that crib soon! Praying he keeps up the good work!
