My first tree!

I have enjoyed how our house is layed out, more than I realized I would. Our backyard is so small that I can be in the kitchen doing dishes and see the majority of the backyard. (I love that!) I have found that if I let the kids play alone and I intentionally don't play with them, they play better together AND such creativity comes from the things they make up.

This day I was letting them play in the backyard by themselves and Max came to get me. He told me that I needed to get my camera because he was climbing his first tree! So funny! So I of course ran to get the camera to capture this moment! Today Max was not up to par, because he was sick. But tonight I found this picture and loved it! He looks so big and grown up. Max will be 5 in a month....so hard to believe! We are having his family birthday this weekend and he is so excited. So this post is to my oldest "little man"...who is now SO into Transformers, loves to sing and is a really sweet older brother. We love you Max. Happy early Birthday!
