Too Sweet.....

Today Max had soccer practice and I went to watch. I have been trying to lie down and rest because little Luke is giving me a run for my money. But, tonight I met Greg at practice and brought the boys.

Well, at the end of the day, I always try to find out what the best and worst part of each day was. It's just a way to get us all talking....and it's funny because Max usually asks us what ours are too. But, that's another post....

So, I asked him at dinner tonight, "what was your favorite part about soccer tonight?"

And he said, "When you and daddy were holding each other and watching me play"

It so shocked me that I didn't know what to say. I guess I expected him to say something about actually playing soccer. But, he loved seeing his mommy and daddy love on each other! Wow....so amazing!

I looked at Greg and he said that Max had told him the same thing in the car on the way home.

I have always heard it said, but this just proves to me even more, that we HAVE to let our kids see us be affectionate with one another. They need it, it makes them feel secure...

And who knows, it may be the best part of their day!

I love you Max....you, my sweet, are a pumpkin!

So sweet.

Priceless.

Precious and innocent.

I love how secure we can make our kids feel in simple things we do. I can vividly remember loving to watch mom and dad kiss and cuddle. I loved the way dad would flirt with mom and swat at her buns when she was cooking.

We had such a great example of this, we are blessed. Proud of you for passing that blessing on to your kiddos...even when you feel like your about to pop your toes off and snap your trunks in two. LOL

Molly is so right. I still remember mom and dad doing this. I remember them making out, dad grabbing mom's bum....such good memories....So glad you all do the same for the boys. That is such a sweet story.

What a great reminder not to loose "that loving feeling"... even when you have kids!

Josiah said he likes to see us loving on each other..."but if it's in front of people...it's embarrassing..so please just at home"....he cracks me up...he's all about keeping everyone from being embarrassed...SO FUN!
We'll have to make a trip down to see you soon!
