Here is a picture of just a few of my Mother's Day gifts. I wanted to take a picture in case over the years some of these great gifts get lost or ruined :) Max made this frame at school and they gave them to the moms at the Mother's Day tea. I also got a homemade bracelet (shown below), a tootsie pop flower and a flower picked from the backyard and put into a jar. Max, you made a comment that I wasn't as excited about your gift as I was with what Daddy gave me. So I made a point to put all of the gifts out on display in the kitchen, just to make sure you knew how special they were to me.
You also drew a family picture, and I had to pick out which family was ours at the Mother's Day tea. And, you filled out a fill in the blank chart about me and my favorites....all of the moms had to read the sheets and guess which one was theirs. Max, you knew everything about me (except my weight and height...apparently I weigh 6 pounds and am 5 inches!) You said I was 31 years old, that my favorite color is red, my hair is gold :), my eyes are green and my favorite food is popcorn (we have popcorn for snacktime a lot). Once I saw the sheet, I knew it was me. It made me feel good to know you knew the answers....
Here is Max's class at the Mother's Day tea and they are singing songs to the mommies! Max is on the front row in the green shirt. The moms got to pick out their children's clothes that day, and Max was sure to let me do it. They had us wait in the hall and then our child escorted us into the room and to our chair. We were served snacks and all of our gifts. It was such a fun day....my how quickly you are growing up little man!
Well, I only have about 4 shirts that fit me, and I decided to wear my green one so we could match! Cheesy, I know....
Max, I love watching who you are becoming. You made me feel so special and loved. Thank you to all of my boys (including my sweet husband) for a great Mother's Day.
Greg got me a set of pedastals to go with my washer and dryer. I have been wanting them and he surprised me with them on Mother's Day. They even came in early so we got to go pick them up and he had them installed that night. I LOVE them!
Most of all, I love my sweet family.....

Love those pictures, especially that one of you and the boys on Mother's Day, what a great pic! Seriously, that one needs to be framed!
I love the green shirts, I didn't even know you did that that day, you are so thoughtful and I love hearing those "cheesy" things you do to make Max feel special and loved. You are a wonderful mama and I am beyond blessed to get to go through motherhood with you and learn so much.
I miss you already and am wondering if you can't extend your maternity leave until after the holidays so that we can hang out while I am in Tulsa???? I mean, come on! Won't your boss understand? Love you lots!
Ella had the same little game at her mother's day tea... consider yourself lucky though, I was 80 years old, 50lbs and 60 feet tall!! Your boys are darling!!
Laura - I can't wait to hear that my children know me that well. So great that you knew which one was him. I love the matchy matchy shirts....too cute.
Crazy how much life can change in a year. So thankful for Luke.
What a sweet story to share. Max is such a great boy, but I wouldn't expect anything else with parents like you and Greg. Have a great week!
